This Friday, November 23, a new version of Black Friday will officially begin in the United States, a day in which retailers promise the best deals of the year. The origin of this term dates back to the 1950s, when in Philadelphia shoppers caused chaos the day after Thanksgiving due to Christmas preparations.
This event has gradually gained popularity and has expanded to other countries over the last few years, and Chile is no exception. Although the main difference with Cyber Monday is that Black Friday focuses mainly on offers in physical stores, over time it has also become an online experience.
According to a study published by Black-Friday.Global, 66% of Chileans know what Black Friday is, 51.67% are willing to participate and 50.36% will make purchases online. In fact, it is known that digital transactions triple during the event and it is important for retail companies to maintain a reliable system that manages operations made through this means.
At Aligare we have experience in supporting these e-commerce sales through our MTD (Digital Transactional Engine), a solution that is specifically built to solve the problem of purchase order management. It collects and manages transactions by incorporating business rules and monitoring elements, as it provides complete visibility of the IT area in real time regarding the life cycle of purchase orders, payment methods and channels. This engine operates without contingencies even during periods of highest demand. It considers integration with BackEnd systems and with ticket and invoice issuing systems.
This is why we will once again be present on Black Friday, and we are already preparing for the high demand that requires us to provide a secure and reliable platform for the execution of electronic payments, a service that our clients deserve.
