Since it burst onto the market in 2014, when Amazon launched its AWS Lamba service and then API Gateway (2015), the Serverless concept has triggered a wave of changes in technological models, and in particular in computing providers.
Driven by the premise of making computing increasingly transparent, its arrival proposed a serverless execution model in the cloud, in which the cloud provider runs the server and dynamically manages the allocation of resources. It also involves a command line that automates and avoids performing many tasks manually.
Only one code is placed in a function and the cloud is responsible for sizing it, executing it and scaling it to infinity if necessary. This is why it is said that in this model, computing becomes more transparent, a ‘utility’ that we will consume based on our needs.
